SPARK
CONVERSATIONS
CANO Arts harness the power of film & theatre to spark conversation, and deepen thought and understanding of social issues.
About the CANO Arts
Cano Arts make social impact films and stage productions plays to provoke people to change their world. We create compelling and thought-provoking films and theatre productions, which entertain, educate and leave a lasting positive impact.
Our Educational Programmes aim at young people and professionals alike, with film or theatre used to encourage creativity and social cohesiveness. We address a wide variety of challenging issues that are relevant and important to diverse communities. Topics have included: substance abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking, bullying, domestic violence, racism, mental health issues, dis/ability issues, or workplace discrimination.
Artistic expression positions issues outside of ourselves, making them easier to recognise and discuss. Acceptance is the first step toward change, with peer participation really moving it forward. It is both enlightening and a lot of fun.
Educational Programs
CANO Arts offers a collection of inspiring, educational programs for professionals, as well as for students aged 11–18 years, and 18+ years. Our workshops can last for two hours, while our courses may be delivered over a six-month period. Our programs are customised to your individual needs.
Our CANO Arts Films harness the power of film to spark conversation and deepen thought and understanding of social issues. The screening of the film is followed by an educational and creative workshop on the issue at hand.
